Upon arrival your tour manager will meet you at Bagdogra airport or at the sightseeing place conveyed to you in advance.
Today we proceed to Thimphu - the capital city of Bhutan nestled in the Himalayan valley. En route, we visit Kharbandi Gompa, a monastery surrounded by panoramic views of Phuentsholing and the plains of West Bengal. Upon arrival in Thimphu, we visit the BBS Clock Tower and admire the grandeur of Tashichho Dzong - the seat of the Bhutanese government and monastic body. In the evening, enjoy free time at the local market for shopping.
Today we explore Thimphu city. We begin with a visit to the Royal Takin Preserve – a wildlife reserve home to the unique national animal of Bhutan. We then see the majestic Buddha Dordenma Statue and enjoy scenic views from Standing Buddha Park. Later, we explore Bhutan’s culture and heritage at the National Library and the Handicraft Centre.
Our next stop is Simply Bhutan – an interactive living museum that offers an immersive experience into traditional Bhutanese life.
Today we proceed to Paro - a picturesque town on the banks of the Paro Chhu River.
Upon arrival, we visit a local and traditional Bhutanese Beer brewery. The entire process of brewing will be shown and explained as we take a tour around the brewery. This will be followed by tasting of all the beers that are brewed in the Brewery. Later we explore the cultural side of Paro with a visit to the National Museum (Ta Dzong) and Paro Dzong – a fortress-monastery with splendid views of the valley. In the evening, we enjoy the traditional Bhutanese cultural program.
Today we visit Taktshang Monastery – famously known as Tiger’s Nest Monastery. Clinging on a cliff at a height of 3120 meters above the sea level, this ancient monastery is a gem of Paro Valley. A trek of total 12km from Paro town. After returning from Tiger’s Nest, we proceed to the viewpoint of Drukgyel Dzong – a Victory Fortress. In the evening, we have some free time for shopping at local market.
Today we proceed to Siliguri via Phuntsholing. En route we take a photo stop at Tamcho Iron bridge near Pa Chhu. In the evening we arrive at Siliguri.
Today we proceed to Bagdogra.
